4.4 Voltage Reference

The BOOSTXL-TECDRV BoosterPack includes a REF2025 voltage reference. The REF2025 is a low-power band-gap voltage reference with initial accuracy of ±0.05%, and very low temperature drift of 8 ppm/°C. This reference is connected to the VeREF+ pin of the MSP-EXP432P401R LaunchPad’s MCU, to be used as voltage reference for the integrated 16-bit ADC. Using the precision external reference instead of the integrated voltage reference of the MCU improves the accuracy and stability of the temperature tracking.
