Changing the Communication Interface

The default settings for communication with the PMIC is SPI. Changing to I2C requires a removal of jumpers from J18, J24 as highlighted in red in Figure 4-1. At J18, the jumper on SPI_EN connects the microcontroller to the SPI bus to which the PMIC is connected. The SPI does not have a device ID and therefore the chip select is used to determine which PMIC receives and responds to commands on the SPI bus.
