To specify which flash banks and sectors are erased during the DFU command, the [-t] option must be used when executing the host programmer. Follow the [-t] option with a text file in the format shown below:
00 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 01 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 02 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 03 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 04 FFFFFFFF 00000000 05 0000000
The first two characters, 00, indicate that the following 64 bits are applicable to flash bank 0. This is referred to as the flash bank identifier. The first 32 bits following the flash bank identifier, 0xFFFFFFFF, indicate that sectors 0-31 are used by the application and should be erased. The following 32 bits, 0xFFFFFFFF, indicate that sectors 32-127 are used by the application and should be erased. In the second 32-bit value, each bit corresponds to eight flash sectors. For example, the LSB, or bit 0, corresponds to flash sectors 32-39 while bit 1 corresponds to sectors 40-47. In the 64-bits following a flash bank identifier, a one marks the appropriate sectors for erase, a zero does not mark the sectors for erase. For example, if only erasing flash sectors 0-31 in flash bank 0 is desired, the second 32-bit value should be changed to 0x00000000.
This format continues for flash banks 1-4. The second 32 bit values following the flash bank 4 identifier need to always remain 0x00000000. Unlike flash banks 0-3, flash bank 4 has 32 sectors. Additionally, the final identifier and 32-bit value, 05 and 0x00000000, are unused.
