The LDC supports Bayer data processing. In this mode, only the red and blue channels can be distorted. The LDC copies the original green pixels to the output image without modification. The mesh table provides pixel shift information for both the red and the blue channels. The starting pixel color is configurable (see Figure 9-206). This mode supports chromatic aberration correction by aligning the red and blue channels with the green channel.
Bayer mode can support Bayer data in several formats. For supported data format in memory, see Figure 9-207.
While reading data from the external frame buffer, the LDC unpacks the data and stores each pixel in normal unpacked mode in the internal buffer. In the case of A-Law data, LDC performs an inverse A-Law conversion before storing the input data in the internal buffer. Likewise, when writing the output data, the LDC stores the data in the same format as it reads. Figure 9-208 shows the inverse A-Law table (8-bit to 10-bit). Figure 9-209 shows the forward A-Law table (10-bit to 8-bit).
