This is the on-state capacitance of the switch, measured from either the input or output of the switch. Usually Cio(on) is greater than twice the Cio(off) because it includes the capacitance on both input and output of the switch, as well as the channel capacitance. Like Cio(off), Cio(on) should be as small as possible to reduce capacitive loading of the bus. Reducing C io(on) requires less drain and source area of the pass transistors that otherwise would increase the on-state resistance. So, like the Cio(off), there is a trade-off between Cio(on) and ron.
