The STM8 and MSPM0 both have internal references which can be used to supply a reference voltage to internal peripherals and can output internal references to external peripherals. As for STM8, only STM8L Value Line has the internal reference.
Feature | STM8S | STM8L | MSPM0 |
---|---|---|---|
Internal Reference (V) | 1.8, 1.2 | 1.22 | 1.4, 2.5 |
External Reference (V) | 2.4 ≤ VREFP ≤VDDA V | 2.4 ≤ VREFP ≤VDDA V | 1.4 ≤ VREF ≤ VDD |
Output Internal Reference | No | Yes | Yes |
Internally Connect to ADC | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Internally Connect to DAC | N/A | Yes | N/A |
Internally Connect to COMP | N/A | Yes | Yes |
Internally Connect to OPA | N/A | N/A | Yes |
For the MSPM0 VREF, you must enable the power bit, PWREN Bit0 (ENABLE).
