The acceptable propagation delay from the gate driver is dependent on the switching frequency at which it is used and the acceptable level of pulse distortion to the system. The UCC27614 devices feature 17.5-ns (typical) propagation delays which ensures very little pulse distortion and allows operation at very high frequencies. Very high switching frequency applications also need the gate driver to satisfactorily produce the output pulse when the input pulse width is very small. The UCC27614 devices can typically handle less than 10ns at its input and produce satisfactory output depending on the load.
