Reduce noise impact
Our high-speed complementary metal-oxide semiconductor with Schmitt-trigger (HCS) family performs over a wide 2V-to-6V input voltage range. Schmitt-trigger inputs help decipher clean signals in 3.3V and 5V applications with high noise, and increase slow signal performance by sharpening logic-level transitions.

Generate a reset signal at system power on
Some systems require an initialization pulse. This is commonly generated by the system controller, however many systems need the initialization prior to the controller's startup, or they may not have a controller at all. In these cases, a simple circuit can provide the required pulse with no programming required.
Learn more about common applications of buffers
System controllers may have weak output drive strength, and may not be able to transmit over high-capacitance lines. A buffer can be added in between the controller and receiver to fix this issue.

Optimize board size with cost-efficient solutions
The SOT-23-THN (DYY) package is the industry's smallest discrete-logic leaded package measuring at 4.2mm by 3.26mm, which is 57% smaller than the TSSOP equivalent. With a standard 0.5mm pitch, the DYY package easily integrates into existing manufacturing equipment. The BQA package is our smallest 14-pin logic quad flat no-lead (QFN) package measuring at 3mm by 2.5mm, which is 76% smaller than the thin-shrink small-outline package (TSSOP) equivalent and 40% smaller than the previous-generation QFN package. This package also comes in wettable-flank configurations to enable optical inspection as opposed to traditional X-ray inspection during manufacturing.
