Overview

In traffic monitoring camera applications, radar sensors provide critical data to be used for intersection control, collision avoidance and traffic flow.

Design requirements

    Our traffic monitoring camera solutions integrate radar front end with ARM® microcontroller (MCU) and digital signal processor (DSP) cores to provide single chip systems to enable:

  • A system to measure the range, velocity and angle of objects.
  • Advanced algorithms for object tracking, classification or application-specific functions.

Sensing devices can be integrated with processing cores to enable the system to measure the range, velocity and angle of objects while incorporating advanced algorithms for object tracking, classification or application-specific functions. If a microcontroller or DSP is not integrated on the sensor, the digital output needs to be processed using a combination of FPGAs and multicore ARM and DSP processors.
