Overview
The DRV3946-Q1EVM allows for easy control and evaluation of the DRV3946-Q1, which is a dual-channel and fully integrated solenoid and contactor driver. The DRV3946-Q1EVM includes two DRV3946-Q1 ICs, each able to drive two contactors in a low-side configuration. The DRV3946-Q1 is able to drive up to 9 A per channel for a total of 18 A if both output channels are driving at maximum capacity. The evaluation module comes with a 20-A fuse which disconnects the power supply from the rest of the board in the case of large current increase.

- Dual-channel fully integrated solution for driving relays, solenoids or contactors in a 12-V automotive system
- Fault notification on nFAULT pin with recovery and mitigation through SPI
- Work with un-economized contactor to get current regulation with higher efficiency and programmable peak and gold currents
- Closed loop 5% accurate current regulation with configurable current profile, EMC knobs, PWM frequency with low-frequency dither
- ISO26262 compliant with Pin FMA, FIT estimation, FMD, FMEDA analysis, Safety manual for SE-OOC
