Texas Instruments India aims at nurturing India's future generations through the spirit of Inquiry and Innovation - the cornerstones of Science and Technology.

The Texas Instruments Science and Technology Quiz provides one such arena for students across the country to showcase their inquisitive minds and challenge themselves on a national platform.

The Quiz is an annual event with Regional rounds spread across the country and one National level showdown. The 12th edition of the event to be conducted from Oct-Dec 2015 adds two new cities into the fold of the competition, bringing the total to seven cities – Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Lucknow. Regional rounds would be held at each of these cities and the winners of the regional rounds would compete at the National finals to be held in Bangalore. The National and Regional winning teams will take home attractive prizes including Laptops, Tablets, Kindles and many more. And of course bragging rights! A special prize would be given to the best all-girls team. All participants will take home goodies and certificates.

Rules

  • High School Students from India (Classes 8, 9 and 10) are eligible.
  • No registration fees.
  • Each school can register up to 6 teams of 2 students each. Prior (online) registration is mandatory at least 1 week before the quiz (refer to the dates of the quiz in your region).
  • Participants of regional rounds must make their own arrangements for transport
  • All participating teams would go through preliminary written round, of which 6 teams would go into the Regional finals.
  • At most two teams from the same school would be qualified to compete in the Regional finals.
  • The winning team from the Regional finals would qualify for the National Finals to be held in Bangalore.
  • The Regional winning teams would be sponsored the travel and stay for the National finals.
  • The decision of the quiz master is final in any cases of ambiguity.

Guidelines to be followed:

  • All students must come in their school uniforms, preferably accompanied by a teacher.
  • All students must carry a pen/pencil for the preliminary round.
