8.2.2.9 Replacing Non Sync Converter

The LMR516xx can also be used to replace asynchronous converters, which need a rectifying diode in the application circuit. The design works fine with or without a rectifying diode connected to the switch node of the LMR516xx as shown in Figure 8-2.
