The time division multiplexing (TDM) mode packs channel data into a serial format to reduce the number of required DOUT pins. The TDM level is configurable to full-parallel (one DOUT pin for each channel), full-serial (all channels packed to the DOUT0 pin), or serial-parallel combinations. The DP_TDM[1:0] bits of the DP_CFG1 register program the desired TDM level. When the TDM mode is programmed, any inactive DOUT pins automatically change function to DIN pins to support daisy-chain connection. Figure 7-32 though Figure 7-35 show the TDM modes.
