Note: The following MOSFET specifications are based on common designs that are available for the chosen motor current.

Assumption:

MOSFET B:

  • VDS – 80V
  • ID – 500A
  • QG – 180nC
  • QGD – 40nC
  • FPWM = 20kHz

Number of switching FETs = 6

Calculation:

IAVG = 6 × 20kHz × 180nC = 21.6mA
