6 ETSI EN 301 893

The ETSI EN 301 893 is a Harmonized European standard which applies to 5 GHz Wireless Access Systems (WAS), including RLAN (Radio Local Area Networks) equipment used in wireless local area networks for high speed data communication. This standard describes the spectrum access requirements, technical requirements specifications, conformance requirements and test procedures for compliance. The complete document can be downloaded from the ETSI website. The following is the summary of the most important requirements for both the transmitter and the receiver in EN 301 893 standard. The operating frequency band limits is shown in Table 6-1.
