The output-referred noise (VN) parameter for analog output Hall sensors describes the voltage noise present on the device output, and equals the input-referred noise times sensitivity. VN is settled with an external RC low-pass filter.
PARAMETER | MIN | TYP | MAX | UNIT | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
VN | Output-referred noise DRV5055A1/Z1 | 12 | mVpp | ||
Output-referred noise DRV5055A2/Z2 | 6 | ||||
Output-referred noise DRV5055A3/Z3 | 3 | ||||
Output-referred noise DRV5055A4/Z5 | 1.5 | ||||
BN | Input-referred noise at VCC=5 V | 0.12 | mTpp | ||
Input-referred noise at VCC=3.3 V | 0.2 |
For linear 3D Hall-effect sensors like the TMAG5170, please note that the noise may be expressed in units of RMS noise (1-sigma) instead of the 6.6-sigma mTPP mentioned above for the DRV5055. To convert the RMS noise to match the 6.6-sigma mTPP mentioned above, multiply the RMS noise by 6.6.
