Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs enable you to build a digital output module, enabling low-side and high-side driving capabilities, push-pull high frequency outputs known as pulse train output (PTO), inductive loads, isolation and protection.

Design requirements

Digital Output Front-End of the Digital Output Module is converting low level digital signals into high level signals able to drive different loads. Loads might be inductive or require high inrush currents, the Front End Stage should protect electronics against excessive currents and voltages and possibly signal the CPU in case of over temperature, open load, short circuit load or similar condition. Texas Instruments offers solutions for all of these functions.
