Non-isolated point of load (POL) power supply for FPGAs, ASICs, memory and clocking circuits. This subsystem is comprised of converters and LDOs that are downstream from the AC/DC power supply. The buck converters used in this subsystem must provide best in class efficiency while also providing superior performance to meet the strictest FPGA, ASIC and clocking demands (i.e. fast transient response and low output ripple). For extra sensitive rails, LDOs are added to provide further noise reduction.
